New Burlesque Addition & Random Life Scenes

There are days where I feel like I need a moment to myself to just breathe. Those are the times that I go into my closet and just look around to fully appreciate everything.  I view it as my inspiration room, which is something I feel everyone should have! There are those days where I just need a life refresh to forget about the stress and enjoy the view 💜 My Newest Vintage Bra Addition: 1960's Whirlpool Bra via Ebay I love rhinestones if you can't already tell 😉 Lately, my vintage costume obsession has hit a fever pitch.... I just HAD to have this 1960's Handmade Burlesque Costume from TiffLittleFingers on Etsy. There's a BEAUTIFUL matching bra that is a little too small for my chest (didn't want to chance it), but the belt, armband and choker fit PERFECTLY! Coming from a retail background, I've found myself gravitating to buying more mannequin forms to display these pieces.  I love putting together outfit displays... somethi

My Favorite Things 1.1

My brain has been extremely absent lately, so I decided I'd do an easy post about some of my favorite things as of late. First up is this AMAZING new typewriter my boyfriend got me for Christmas from Micheal's Craft Store.  She works like a dream and I've already gotten some good use out of it typing little notes to my 7 year old niece 😃 For my birthday a couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend took me on a little day trip to go antiquing in one of our neighboring towns.  I found this ADORABLE 1960's Lurex Doll Couch just hiding in a basket on the floor.  It even has little spindles on the base! I had to have one of my 1970's Dashboard Dolls give it a go 😊 This post really should just be my favorite things my boyfriend has gifted me, so here we go again! As a birthday present he gave me a nice little addition to my nude playing card collection! These were dead-stock, never opened... until me because I couldn't resist! They're just so DAMN BEA

Latest Burlesque Costume Addition

Life's been a wee bit crazy lately, but I thought I'd do a little update on some additions to my costume collection 💗 Below is a full Burlesque Costume (I believe from the 70's) that was handmade & beaded by the original  owner.  When I purchased it from TiffLittleFingers on Etsy, she included a picture of the original owner wearing/ performing in it.  It's so heavy my poor mannequin tilts a bit trying to keep the beauty of it upright!  Beside it is a 1950's Showgirl Headpiece I bought from SimplicityisBliss on Etsy, I'm COMPLETELY in love with it! I've tinkered with the idea of renting out pieces of my collection to theaters or performers, but the anxiety that comes with it may stop me. I would love to see these piece worn again (they're a bit too small for me) but trusting someone with them wouldn't be my strong point.  I've shown these before, but I love how the little rhinestone piece looks like the a little g-stri

Latest Lingerie Collection Additions

I'm a sucker for vintage bustiers, especially when they are circle-stitched! Nothing beats how AMAZING one of these baby's feels on the body! No matter what shape or size a person is, they are sure to feel stunning in this.  I've come across reproductions that are really nice, but nothing can compare to the original! 1950's Circle Stitch Overwire Buster via Ebay (no tag) Over the past couple of years, I've really began to expand my collection of burlesque pieces. It wasn't intentional since I just usually buy things I love and this usually starts a collection.  These little pasties are SO STUNNING! The little tin coins that hang from them plus the Gold Tinsel is such a great touch!  I also found this piece of a necklace at one of my local antique malls. The sheer weight of it is really impressive! Not quite sure how I'll use it quite yet, but pairing it with these pasties gives me some fun ideas 😉 1960's Gold Sequined / Coin Pasties via
